No jam, not ever.

It began as a Sunday morning. Like all Sundays, Kathy goes to temple. Like all Sundays, Kathy is a vegetarian. When time came for breakfast, Kathy grabbed some toast from her toaster oven and opened the fridge to grab her jar of chunky peanut butter.

Amid her action of reaching towards the peanut butter jar, a white cap caught her eye.

"Oh yeah, the strawberry jam I used to make ------- for that one time..."

Hey. it tasted good with the strawberries, jam can't be that bad.

Yes it can. Yes it is. Jam is that bad.

Ignoring the signals of impending doom, Kathy took out the jar of strawberry jam from the fridge as well.

Kathy Truong couldn't remember why it was that she didn't like jam. She spread the strawberry jam on a small corner of her toast, and took a bite; instantly regretting her curious memory and once again, forever banishing jam back to the recluse corner of her refrigerator.

"BLAAAARGG."

It's not human to eat something so sweet so early in the morning =x=;; (<--hypocrite, eats chocolate + candies & other sweeter things in the morning)

Moral: JAM IS BAD.
no jaykay, don't hate on me jam lovers D8

Failure? Yes indeed...

So, I like to cook and bake. Lots of people know that, I think. Unfortunately...I'm not as good as they think I am xD

Take for instance...today. I wanted to make crepes for my english class, so I did! I tested out a couple last night, and I planned on making a bunch this morning. Well, the morning came and I got to making my crepes.

Can anyone say major failure? Like, for half an hour I made crepes and all of them turned out BAD.

Lesson here? I can't make crepes. Or, at least not yet. D< [I will conquer you crepe, I will!]

However, I saved myself and made banana pancakes for class. Yum P: Except I ran out of time and baking soda. .... anyways.

The point of this here blog, is to reflect a bit on the things I can't bake.

Cookies? Oh mah gawd. for the longest time ever, I could not bake cookies. Of course, I learned all the tips and tricks and I can successfully make chewy cookies now.

Cake however... major le sigh there.
Cake from scratch that is. Boxed cake mix is a cinch for me :D Otherwise, my cake turns out too eggy...perhaps I should try different mixing methods.

well, anyways. That's the blog for today I suppose.

On a side note, nutella is really good.
especially with strawberries.

Self brainwashing fail...or is it win?

In the event you didn't know, my alarm clock is set to half an hour ahead of the actual time. If it's 5:30PM, my clock will say it's 6:00PM/ Why do I do this to myself? Well, I like waking up for school and then knowing I can still sleep for another half hour or so. I've been doing this for about 3 years now, so I automatically subtract a half hour right when I look at my clock.

I must've been t-i-r-e-d-! this morning then.

My alarm clock went off at 7:00AM, my usual time. I pressed snooze, slept for another 8 minutes, had my alarm go off, and readjusted it for 7:10. Then I woke up, brushed my teeth and did my daily morning jumble and went out into the kitchen to make breakfast.

I knew something was wrong...it was a lot quieter and darker then normal, though my dad was already up and at the alter, doing his prayerly stuff. I grabbed some bread and turkey, and popped my sandwich into my toaster oven. Then I turned around.

6:54AM, read my microwave.

Say whaaaat? I thought I woke up at 7? Then, I realized like a doof, that I read my alarm clock wrong. Seriously, the first time in....the first time.

So what did I do?

I left my sandwich in the toaster, said hi to my mom who I happened to pass by in the hallway, and crawled back into bed until the actual 7:20 came around. About 25 minutes of more sleep...not bad!

On a side note, I wake up and go back to sleep often. It used to be a daily occurrence until I broke my habit of showering in the morning. I'd wake up at 6:30AM, take a 10-15ish minute shower with my bathroom time totaling about 20-25 minutes (that's with me brushing my teeth and face wash, etcetc). Then, I go back into my room, lay down a towel on my pillows so that my hair dries, and go back to sleep for 20-35 minutes, roughly until 7:20. :D

Ahhh, the good old days.
